Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009109393A1] The invention relates to an apparatus for applying adhesives with a housing, which is designed for accommodating a solid, preferably pin-shaped or bar-shaped plastic element (22) which interacts with liquefying means (10) generating electrical heat, which housing at one end provides a housing outlet for discharging the adhesive which has been liquefied by the liquefying means. The invention provides that the liquefying means are in the form of a liquefying body (10) which has been produced from a heat-generating electrical resistive material and which provides a melt contact face (18) for interaction with an end section, which is preferably at the front end, of the adhesive element, which melt contact face, in relation to an axis (21) running along a supply axis of the adhesive element, is inclined with respect to said axis, preferably through an angle (19) of > 0° and < 90°, further preferably > 5° and < 40°, even further preferably > 10° and < 30°.
