[origin: WO2009122085A2] The invention relates to a cutting element (1) for a tool for shaping a bone surface, characterized in that it comprises: - a plurality of elements that form metal blades (2), each having at least one cutting edge (5, 16); - a substrate (4) made of a different material than that of the blade elements (2); said blade elements (2) are integrated into the substrate (4) during the manufacture of the cutting element, and are tubular in shape and feature a cutting flange (5) at at least one of the ends thereof, and in that the same comprise a longitudinal axis (XX) that having an incline of an angle (a) relative to the substrate surface (4), wherein said angle (a) is between 35 to 45°. The invention further relates to a tool for shaping a bone surface provided with such a cutting element.
