[origin: WO2009112027A1] It is known that very good treatment results are possible by the application of electrotherapies in humans. However, the behavior of the treated person cannot be compared to the behavior of an animal. Therefore, the present invention is intended to create an adapted treatment apparatus which will allow treatment of animals appropriate to the species. In this regard the invention specifies the use of a covering which can be placed upon the back of the animal. In another embodiment, the electric components are located away from the animal's field of view in order to prevent them from causing any distress. The invention is used for the treatment of animals with electrotherapies.
