[origin: WO2009118491A1] The invention relates to a bracket (1) adapted to be attached to the frame of an automobile that comprises a shell (2) defining a housing, and a reinforcement (5) attached to the shell (2) within the housing, for reinforcing the stiffness of the shell (2). According to the invention, the reinforcement (5) includes at least one reinforcing member (15) of the same material as the shell (2) and connected to the latter by a film-type hinge (16) enabling the pivoting thereof between an extended position outside the shell (2) for forming the entire integral bracket (1), and a reinforcing position in which the same is stowed inside the housing for stiffening the shell (2).
