Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009115519A1] The invention relates to a pivot member (5a, 5b) that enables the rotation of a part (3) of a clock movement about a rotation axis, and which comprises two members, i.e. a pivot (7a, 7b) and a bearing (6a, 6b) receiving said pivot (7a, 7b), wherein one is arranged to be connected to said part (3) while the other is arranged to be connected to the frame (1) of said movement. The members (6a, 6b, 7a, 7b) have, at their opposite surfaces, shapes such that the section of one of the members, in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis, is a circular section, the section of the other member in said plane being non-circular so as to reduce the contact surface between the pivot (7a, 7b) and the bearing (6a, 6b). At least the contact surfaces of the two members bearing against each other are made of at least one material intrinsically having a low friction coefficient and a low wear coefficient.
