[origin: EP2256058A2] The device has a bottom (16) for supporting a container lid (46) of a container (15). Two side walls (18, 19) are arranged opposite to each other at the bottom. A container receiving area has a support surface (17) that is formed by the bottom. A peripheral edge (51) of the container lid partially rests upon the support surface. The side walls with a holding edge (22) for the support surface are positioned in such a manner that the peripheral edge of the container lid is partially positioned between the support surface and the holding edge. An independent claim is also included for a sealing for a container lid of a container for arrangement in a dispensing device.
