The device (1) has a retaining section (6) for retaining a part of a flap of a vehicle i.e. motor vehicle, and an absorption section (3) for absorption of the retaining section. The retaining section is movable in relation to the absorption section. The absorption section is flexibly formed as an absorption body. The device is rotatable over a bearing section (4). The absorption section and retaining sections comprise contact structures (31,61) complementary to each other, where the contact structure of the absorption section has an arc-shaped contact area running around the bearing section.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Dämpfungsvorrichtung für die Schwenkbewegung einer Fahrzeugklappe. Zur Beseitigung der sich aus dem Stand der Technik ergebenden Nachteile stellt die Erfindung eine kompakte, zuverlässige und kostengünstige Dämpfungsvorrichtung (1) für die Schwenkbewegung einer Fahrzeugklappe bereit, umfassend einen Aufnahmeabschnitt (6) zur Aufnahme eines Teils der Fahrzeugklappe und einen Dämpfungsabschnitt (3) zur Dämpfung des Aufnahmeabschnitts (6), wobei der Aufnahmeabschnitt (6) gegenüber dem Dämpfungsabschnitt (3) bewegbar ist.
