Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009106755A1] The invention relates to a rollerblade (1) that comprises a frame (3), rolling members (5, 7) mounted inline on the frame and including at least one wheel (5a, 7a). A braking system includes a braking member (21) provided in the vicinity of at least one of the rolling members and capable of contacting the wheel in order to brake the rollerblade (1). A platen (11) accommodates the rolling members. A footwear member (13) is provided above the platen (11), and is provided with a device (15, 17, 19) for actuating the braking system (9). The braking system (9) includes a part (23) for bearing the braking member (21), which is mounted so as to slide relative to the platen (11) in order to translate said braking member (21) from a released position of the wheel to a contact position therewith. A transmission device (25), capable of moving from a passive position into an active position under the action of the actuation device, is provided, on the one hand, for maintaining the braking member away from the wheel in the passive position and, on the other hand, for enabling the sliding of the bearing part into the active position under the action of the weight of the skater.
