[origin: EP2261413A1] The method involves conveying washing brine (6) between a brine container (1) and another brine container (18) in a bidirectional manner, where the containers are arranged in different levels. The washing brine is conveyed from the latter brine container into the former brine container via different supply openings (20), where relative heights of the containers are adjusted in a manual or automatic manner. A drum (2) is supported in the former brine container in a rotatable manner around a horizontal axis and moved with speed of maximum 50 revolution/minute.
