[origin: WO2009115273A1] The present invention describes a process for preparing glycerin ethers which can be used as oxygenated components for gasoline and diesel, in particular mono, di and tri sec-butyl, 2-sec-pentyl and 3-sec-pentyl ethers. These ethers are new and are a further object of the present invention, as also the compositions of fuel or components of fuel containing them.
