Abstract (en)
The method for guiding and orienting a strand (5) in a continuous casting facility for large-sized round sections made of steel or a similar material, comprises completely heating strand cover within an orienting track. The heating power of the extensions locally appearing in the strand cover along the orienting track is adjusted. The strand cover is heated in uniformly arranged part zones of the orienting track through burning of air-/gas-mixture in a porous structure and bubbles of the hot exhaust gas on the strand cover. An independent claim is included for an arrangement for guiding and orienting a strand in a continuous casting facility.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zum Führen und Richten des Strangs (5) in einer Stranggiessanlage für grossformatige Rundprofile aus Stahl oder einem ähnlichen Werkstoff. Um Rissbildungen beim Richten des Stranges zu vermeiden, wird der Strangmantel (15) innerhalb der Richtstrecke ober- und unterseitig aufgeheizt. Zu diesem Zweck sind im auslaufseitigen Abschnitt der Richtstrecke Porenbrenner (10, 17) angeordnet, deren heissen Abgase den Strangmantel (15) vollumfänglich umströmen.
