Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2266720A2] The device has an axial sleeve arranged downstream to a feeding unit e.g. chuck, in a feeding direction. A bending sleeve (36) includes a passage opening, which is adapted to an outer contour of a profile (42). The axial sleeve has an axial drive for adjusting a distance of the axial sleeve from the bending sleeve. The feeding unit and the axial sleeve are driven by rotary drives relative to the bending sleeve in a same direction. Bending rollers (40) are provided in the bending sleeve. An actuator (46) rotates one of the rollers around a rotational axis (44). An independent claim is also included for a method for free bending of profiles.
