The injector has a valve piston (27) including a pressure piece (29) at a control valve-sided end of the piston, where the pressure piece acting on a valve bolt (40) in an axial direction. The piston is surrounded by a low-pressure chamber (30) and is arranged in a valve chamber (34). A hydraulic connection is opened or closed from the valve chamber to the low-pressure chamber by a valve seat (45). A stop is formed at a valve body (15), and limits lifting of the piston. The piston with a counter surface (61) strikes against the stop in an opened condition of the valve seat.

Es wird ein Kraftstoffinjektor zum Einspritzen von Kraftstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine vorgeschlagen, bei dem eine hydraulische Kopplereinheit (11) mit einem Ventilkolben (27) auf einen Ventilbolzen (40) eines Steuerventil (12) einwirkt, wobei der Ventilbolzen (40) einen an einem Ventilkörper (15) ausgebildeten Ventilsitz (45) öffnet oder verschließt. Am Ventilkörper (15) ist ein den Hub des Ventilkolbens (27) begrenzender Anschlag (64) ausbildet, gegen welchen der Ventilkolben (27) mit einer Gegenfläche (61) bei geöffnetem Ventilssitz (45) anschlägt.
