[origin: WO2009127076A1] A cable guide for longitudinally, transversally or vertically movable cables, wires or strands is provided with at least one holder (2) and with a guide member (3) fastened thereto, on which guide member the respective cable (5), the wire or the strand can be supported. The guide member is formed by a running roller (3) rigidly or rotatably mounted on the holder (2) or by a deflection part produced from a specific material. Thus, in the event of an incident, the friction of the cable can be minimized and, as a result, the life of the cable can be increased and its strength can be better utilized.
