[origin: WO2009115137A1] The invention relates to a method for making a pivoting ratchet for the lock of an automobile door leaf, comprising a rotary bolt capable of interaction with a strike between an open position and a closed position of said lock, wherein the pivoting ratchet includes a rotation axis and a retaining end capable of pivoting about said axis and interacting with said bolt in order to maintain the same in a closed position of the lock, characterised in that said method includes a first step (101) that comprises making by cold-stamping a metal insert of the ratchet including the rotation axis and the retaining end of the pivoting ratchet, and a second step (102) in which the insert is partially over-moulded using a resin. The invention also relates to a lock for an automobile door leaf, that comprises a pivoting ratchet (1) obtained by the manufacture method (100) described above. The invention further relates to a pivoting ratchet (1) for the lock of an automobile door leaf obtained by the manufacture method (100) described above.
