[origin: WO2009134796A1] The present invention relates generally to a system and method for automatically wrapping longitudinally extending articles. The invention is particularly used in the field of manufac-turing of cable harnesses in the automotive industry. For this purpose an apparatus is suggested which allows the fixation of, for example, clips according to the invention to the cable harness in a predetermined circumferential position by means of a wrapping tape.
