Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009111024A2] A discharge pipe (12A) for connecting a compressor (16) with a condenser (18) in a vapor-compression system (10) comprises an intake segment (38), a muffler (14), a splitter segment (39) and first and second discharge segments (44A, 44B). The intake segment (38) is configured to connect to a discharge port (36) of the compressor (16) and receive compressed refrigerant flow. The muffler (14) is connected to the intake segment (38) for attenuating pulsations within the compressed refrigerant flow. The splitter (39) segment is connected to the muffler (14) and configured to divide the compressed refrigerant flow into first and second branches. The first discharge segment (44A) connects to the splitter (39) to receive the first branch and is configured to connect to the condenser (18) at a first position (37A). The second discharge segment (44B) connects to the splitter (39) to receive the second branch and is configured to connect to the condenser (18) at a second location (37B).
