[origin: WO2009121627A2] An inductive component, for example, a throttle for an electronic circuit for powering a discharge light, has an effective magnetic volume of 900 mm3 or less at a lateral dimension which is 20 mm or less in one direction, wherein the ferrite material of the ferrite core of said inductive component has a maximum induction at a field strength of 250 A/m which is at least 400 mT at 100°C.
