[origin: EP2269910A2] The device (1) has a receiving area (2) for receiving glue. A temperature control unit (4) heats the glue in the receiving area. Transport lines (6a, 6b) are provided to transport the glue from the receiving area to a processing area (8). Another temperature control unit (10a) and a third temperature control unit (10b) are arranged in respective areas of the transport lines to heat the glue guided in the transport lines. The receiving area is in the form of a container whose inner surface facing interior is partially made of iron. The container is sectionally designed in multiple layers. An independent claim is also included for a method for heating label glue.
