Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2269936A2] An elevator hoistway door separation preventive structure having left and right doors having lower portions with respective shoes installed therein and a sill having a groove for guiding the shoes is provided, which includes a stepped portion formed on a lower end of the shoe by bending a lower end of the shoe, and a slit formed on an inner surface of the groove of the sill to correspond to the stepped portion. According to the elevator hoistway door separation preventing structure, the separation of the hoistway door is prevented or blocked with improved shoe and sill structures of the door even if an abnormal impact or force is applied to the hoistway door, and unnecessary expenses for preventing the separation of the door is reduced through reinforcement of the entire strength of the door. Also, a user or a resident is prevented from falling into the shaft due to the separation of the hoistway door that occurs frequently caused by the abnormal impact.
