[origin: WO2009118293A1] The invention relates to a crockery basket (1) of a dishwasher, for receiving pieces of crockery (4), said basket comprising a bottom and lateral parts (3.1, 3.2, 3.3) framing the bottom. At least two essentially parallel rows (5) of rods for holding the pieces of crockery (4) are arranged on the bottom of the basket, each row consisting of at least one base wire (5.2) for the rods and at least one row (5) of rods which is fixed to the base wire and consists of individual rod wires (5.1). At least two adjacent rod wires (5.1) of a row (5) of rods have a bend (5.3) in the direction of the second row (5) of rods.
