[origin: WO2009132878A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection system (41) having at least one injector (1), wherein a storage space (6) is disposed in an injector body (2) in which a nozzle needle (12) is positioned. A fuel supply (8) feeds the highly pressurized fuel to an inlet space (29) via an inlet channel (7). In order to simplify a tuning of the fuel injection system (41), the inlet channel (7) communicates with a high-pressure source (9) in an unrestricted manner. The tuning of the injector with the fuel injection system is carried out via the closing throttle (32).
