[origin: GB2468325A] A bladeless fan assembly 10 comprises a nozzle 14 and means for creating an air flow through the nozzle 14. The nozzle 14 comprises an interior passage, a mouth 40 for receiving the air flow from the interior passage, and a surface 42 located adjacent the mouth 40 and over which the mouth 40 is arranged to direct the air flow. The nozzle 14 is mounted on a height adjustable pedestal 12. The pedestal 12 may comprise a duct 18 for conveying the air flow to the nozzle 14, and may comprise a base 16 which houses the means for creating the air flow. The surface 42 may be a Coanda surface. The interior passage may be annular and be divided into two streams which extend about respective sides of an opening 38. The mouth 40 may also extend about the opening 38 concentrically with the interior passage.
