Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2275279A1] The document i.e. identity card (10B), has a revealing unit (28B) including a transparent window extending along thickness of a body of the card, so as to pass light through the card. A rigid or semi-rigid body (12B) carries data (14B) i.e. personal data, of a security document holder. The data incorporates coded information along a preset coding type, where the coded information is imperceptible to naked eye. The revealing unit reveals any other coded information along the preset coding type carried by another card (10A). An independent claim is also included for a method for verifying authenticity of a security document.
