[origin: WO2009124517A1] The invention relates to an apparatus for introducing a tongue into a groove of a flat body, wherein, in a mounted position, the tongue is mounted at least partially in the groove which is arranged on an edge side of the flat body, having a transport device for transporting a plurality of flat bodies, which are arranged at a spacing from one another, along a transport direction, having a transfer device (7) comprising an insertion element for inserting the tongues into the respective grooves of the flat bodies, wherein a magazine (5) for the stacked provision of the tongues is positioned in front of the transfer device (7), wherein a feed device (6) is arranged between the transfer device (7) and the magazine (5), which feed device (6) transports a number of tongues (1) along a feed direction (7) which extends transversely with respect to the transport direction from the magazine (5) to the transfer device (7), and wherein the feed device has a feed conveyor (14) with an integrated spacer element for the spaced apart transport of the tongues (1).
