The process for producing a coated paper or cardboard (1), comprises producing a moving web in a paper or cardboard machine (2), winding the web to a roller (5) towards its end in a first rolling-up station (13.1), transporting the roller to an offline coating machine (3), unwinding the roller in a first rolling-down station, coating the web with a coating color by a coating device, and finally again winding the coated web to the roller in a second rolling-up station. The web between first rolling-up station and coating device is subjected into a calender nip with pressure and temperature. The process for producing a coated paper or cardboard (1), comprises producing a moving web in a paper or cardboard machine (2), winding the web to a roller (5) towards its end in a first rolling-up station (13.1), transporting the roller to an offline coating machine (3), unwinding the roller in a first rolling-down station, coating the web with a coating color by a coating device, and finally again winding the coated web to the roller in a second rolling-up station. The web between the first rolling-up station and the coating device is subjected into a calender nip with pressure and temperature. The web is admitted with vapor before to the calender nip, and is guided through two calender nips, where the both web sides contact once with a heat roller. One of the rollers forming the nip has a profile correcting device and the web is regulated in its thickness profile transverse to the web moving direction. The web is guided through the calender nip, whose contact length with the web is more than 40 mm. An independent claim is included for an arrangement for producing a coated paper or cardboard.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Herstellung eines gestrichenen Papiers oder Kartons, wobei eine laufende Bahn (4) in einer Papier- oder Kartonmaschine (2) erzeugt und an deren Ende in einer ersten Aufrollstation (13.1) zu Rollen (5) aufgewickelt wird, wobei anschließend die Rolle (5) zu einer Offline-Streichmaschine (3) transportiert wird, die Rolle (5) dort in einer ersten Abrollstation (14) abgewickelt und die Bahn (4) über eine Beschichtungseinrichtung (15) mit Streichfarbe beschichtet und schließlich erneut in einer zweiten Aufrollstation (13.2) zu einer Rolle (5) aufgewickelt wird. Um die Herstellung einer gestrichenen Papier- oder Kartonbahn besonders volumenschonend zu gestalten, wird die Bahn (4) zwischen der ersten Abrollstation (14) und der Beschichtungseinrichtung (15) in wenigstens einem Kalandernip (6.1,6.2) mit Druck und Temperatur beaufschlagt.
