Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009138147A1] The invention relates to a wheeled sweeping unit (10) having a housing (12), in which a sweeping roller (20) which is driven by electric motor is mounted rotatably, and having a swept-material container (14) for receiving swept material, wherein two front supporting wheels (41; 44) are mounted adjacent to the housing of the sweeping roller and at least one rear supporting wheel (48; 49) is mounted at a spacing from said front supporting wheels, in each case such that they can be rotated about a rotational axis. In order to develop the sweeping unit in such a way that, if surface unevennesses occur, there is no risk of the sweeping roller (20) being blocked or the sweeping unit tilting, it is proposed according to the invention that the rotational axis (42) of a first front supporting wheel is arranged coaxially with respect to the rotational axis (21) of the sweeping roller and, in relation to the main movement direction of the sweeping unit, offset with respect to the rotational axis of the second front supporting wheel.
