[origin: WO2009138640A1] The invention relates to a device for packaging and unwinding a cable spool (B), comprising a stiff plastic cylindrical housing (1), wherein the cable spool is placed, and comprising an upper central opening (2) whereby the cable may be unwound. According to the invention, said upper central opening (2) includes a device that retains the free end of the cable and formed of a strip that is part of said housing (1), extends diametrically across said central opening (2), and comprises a through-hole (4) through which the cable is passed, ensuring that the same is retained.
