[origin: GB2449520A] A flood barrier comprising a fibreglass or UPVC panel 1 with a rubber watertight seal 4 around the edge of it to contact with a wall surrounding an opening in a building. Metal strips 2 which may form a U shape are sandwiched within the plastic panel to provide reinforcement of the barrier, the panel may be formed from two separate panels joined together. The barrier may be bolted to the wall. The panels may vary in shape and size according to which type of entrance i.e. door, window, airbrick etc, it is to cover.
