The method involves rotating a cross wound spool (5) in an unwinding direction (Z) in a frictionally engaged manner for receiving threads. A spool frame (8) is controlled by a torque sensor such that an air gap (S) is temporally provided between a surface (31) of the cross-wound spool that is held in the frame and a spool drive roller (9) that rotates the cross wound spool. A suction nozzle (35) is subjected with low pressure, before the spool, rotating in the unwinding direction, is temporally removed from the spool drive roller.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben von Arbeitsstellen einer Kreuzspulen herstellenden Textilmaschine, wobei jede der Arbeitsstellen eine Spulvorrichtung mit einer Spulenantriebwalze zum reibschlüssigen Rotieren einer Kreuzspule, einen schwenkbar gelagerten, über einen Drehmomentgeber definiert anhebbaren bzw. absenkbaren Spulenrahmen zum rotierbaren Haltern der Kreuzspule sowie eine mit Unterdruck beaufschlagbare, in den Bereich der Oberfläche der Kreuzspule schwenkbare Saugdüse zur pneumatischen Aufnahme eines nach einer Spulunterbrechung auf die Oberfläche der Kreuzspule aufgelaufenen Oberfadens aufweist. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass die Kreuzspule (5) zur Fadenaufnahme zunächst reibschlüssig in Abwickelrichtung (Z) rotiert und anschließend der Spulenrahmen (8) durch einen Drehmomentgeber (60) derart angesteuert wird, dass kurzzeitig zwischen der Oberfläche (31) der im Spulenrahmen (8) gehalterten Kreuzspule (5) und der die Kreuzspule (5) rotierenden Spulenantriebswalze (9) ein Luftspalt (S) gegeben ist.
