Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2279976A2] The method involves rotating a cross wound spool (5) in an unwinding direction (Z) in a frictionally engaged manner for receiving threads. A spool frame (8) is controlled by a torque sensor such that an air gap (S) is temporally provided between a surface (31) of the cross-wound spool that is held in the frame and a spool drive roller (9) that rotates the cross wound spool. A suction nozzle (35) is subjected with low pressure, before the spool, rotating in the unwinding direction, is temporally removed from the spool drive roller.
