Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009144315A1] The invention relates to a bogie (1) for rail vehicles having a divided frame which is composed of two frame elements (2, 3), wherein each frame element (2, 3) is formed from a transverse carrier (4) and a longitudinal carrier (5) which are arranged with respect to one another in a T-shape, and the frame elements (2, 3) are rotationally connected to one another by means of two frame joints (6) so as to permit torsion of the frame elements (2, 3) with respect to one another transversely in relation to the direction of travel. Each frame joint (6) connects a free transverse carrier end (7) of a frame element (2, 3) to a longitudinal carrier suspension means (8) of the other frame element (2, 3) and is embodied as a ball-and-socket joint. It comprises a ball-segment-shaped internal ring (9) and an external ring (10) which corresponds thereto, wherein: the internal ring (9) has a spherical convex surface which is bounded by two small circles, the centre points of which are at the same distance from the centre point of the ball, wherein the internal ring (9) is designed such that it can be clamped to the longitudinal carrier suspension means (8), the external ring (10) has a hollow-ball-shaped concave surface which corresponds to the internal ring (9), and said external ring (10) is designed such that it can be connected to the free transverse carrier end (7), and the spherical convex surface of the internal ring (9) and the corresponding hollow-ball-shaped concave surface of the external ring (10) are embodied as surfaces which slide in relation to one another.
