Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009130295A1] Handling device intended to pick up and carry a pack (k) formed of a stack of tyres kept compressed by a continuous, substantially airtight, strip covering the entire surface of the pack (k) and wound under tension around the said pack (k) so as to form an entity the vertical faces of which are generally devoid of roughnesses and can be grasped by the said handling device, comprising an inclinable deck (2) extended by at least two feet (21, 22) directed towards the front of the inclinable deck (2), secured to the said deck (2), and at the ends of which there is an articulation of horizontal axis (BB') allowing the said deck (2) to be inclined from a substantially vertical position into an inclination that makes a given angle (ß) with the vertical direction, in which device the said deck (2) comprises a plurality of suction cups (20) intended to press a vertical face of the pack of tyres (k) against the front face of the inclinable deck (2).
