[origin: WO2009120092A1] A structural wall comprises a self-supporting wall (1) externally being provided with laths (4) for attachment of a base plate (5) for an outer plaster layer (10). The base plate (5) consists of a wood composite material comprising polyurethane mixed with wood wool and is having good insulating ability. To utilize the insulating properties of the base plate and provide for a better fire rated wall, the spacing between the laths (4), originally being a air-gap, is filed with a rock wool mat (7) having drainage facility (8) for moisture at the side facing the base plate (5).
