Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2282396A1] The method involves beveling a laminated rotor core with grooves, and inserting a set of short-circuit bars (3) made of a material e.g. copper, into the grooves. A set of short-circuit rings made of another material e.g. aluminum, is cast at the core, where the bars comprise a bevel before insertion into the grooves. The bars are inserted in the core in a distortion-free manner before application of the latter material for filling an inner groove area lying in a radial direction, such that the latter material is not penetrated into the inner are region during casting process. An independent claim is also included for a cage rotor for an asynchronous machine.
