[origin: WO2009133298A2] A method of monitoring the status of an energy reserve accumulator, connected to a fluid system, involves the following successive steps once the fluid system has stabilized for pressure: measuring a first time (?t1) taken by the fluid system to progress from a predetermined first pressure (P1) to a predetermined second pressure (P2), lower than the predetermined first pressure (P1); measuring a second time (?t2) taken by the system to progress from a predetermined third pressure (P3), lower than the predetermined second pressure (P2), to a predetermined fourth pressure (P4), lower than the predetermined third pressure (P3); and comparing the first and second times (?t1, ?t2) in order to determine the status of the energy reserve accumulator. Use particularly in an aircraft.
