[origin: WO2009135462A1] The present invention relates to a tunable clarinet barrel (1) for arrangement between a mouth piece and an upper joint of an (Es, D, C, A, B) clarinet, having a longitudinal axis (L) and a through-passage (100) running in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L), the clarinet barrel (1) being composed of a top part (2) and a bottom part (3), which can be joined along the longitudinal axis (L), and an adjusting ring (4) connecting the top part (2) and the bottom part (3) being provided, the axial distance between the top part (2) and bottom (3) being variable by means of said adjusting ring, characterized in that the adjusting ring (4) is connected to the top part (2) and the bottom part (3) each by way of a screw thread (6, 7) and the screw threads (6, 7) have opposite directions of rotation.
