[origin: WO2009136114A1] The invention relates to a network (N) apparatus (S), comprising interfaces (ISA, ISB) for transmitting signaling messages between a calling client (A) and a called client (B) and capable of containing resource information related to encoding resources, to which these clients have access, for the establishment of a communication session between said clients, and having access to deletion means (MT) for deleting said information contained in an invitation message received from the calling client before transmission to the called client, to determine a set of resources usable from resource information contained in said invitation message and in the reply message received from the called client, and to select, as needed, an encoding resource from said set and insert information related to said resource as the only information into the reply message received from the called client before transmission to the calling client and into the consent message received from the calling client before transmission to the called client.
