The component (1) has an inner cover (17) and a hollow cylindrical housing (2) which is put together with an inner element (3). The component is formed as a cam follower or a support element for a cam follower, where a recess (8) is formed for the housing by two front rings (11,12). Each front ring is an end component of a separate, thin walled and pipe like sections (13,14) that run firmly with its outer cover (15,16).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein schaltbares Bauteil (1) eines Ventiltriebs einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit einem Gehäuse (2), das mit einem hierzu relativ beweglichen Innenelement (3) zusammengesteckt ist, welchem Innenelement (3) eine Querbohrung (4) mit zumindest einem im Entkoppelfall [kleiner oder 0-Ventilhub] darin verlaufenden sowie von einem Rückstellmittel (5) beaufschlagten Koppelschieber (6) immanent ist, das im Koppelfall [voller Ventilhub] über ein Zustellmittel (7) abschnittsweise in eine Aussparung (8) des Gehäuses (2) mit einer Mitnehmerfläche (9) verlagerbar ist, welche Aussparung (8) von zwei sich axial gegenüberliegenden Ringstirnen (11, 12) gebildet ist, an einer von denen die Mitnehmerfläche (9) gebildet ist, wobei jede Ringstirn (11, 12) Endbestandteil eines separaten, dünnwandigen sowie rohrähnlichen Abschnitts (13, 14) ist, der jeweils mit seinem Außenmantel (15, 16) abschnittsweise an einem Innenmantel (17) des Gehäuses (2) fest verläuft und wobei zwischen Gehäuse (2) und Innenelement (3) eine Rückstellfeder (10) wirkt.
