[origin: WO2009121877A1] The invention relates to a machine for binding a package of sheets (104) through the use of binding elements (206) and including: - a transfer belt (208) provided to magnetically fasten said elements and to transfer from a release position, in which the binding machine receives the binding elements (206), and an engagement position in which the binding machine is positioned in a closure area, - a closing means (214, 218) arranged upstream from the belt (208) and provided, in the closure area, for closing said elements (206), - a magnetic binding table (216) arranged upstream from closing means (214, 218), and including a fastening area for holding a series of the ends of said elements (206), and - a magnetic upper guide (210) arranged upstream from the closing means (214, 218) and above the table (216), and including a fastening area for holding the other series of the ends of said elements (206), the package of sheets (104) being inserted between the table (216) and the upper guide (210).
