[origin: WO2009146766A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for producing packs, particularly cigarette packs, from blanks (11, 44), wherein individual regions of a pack blank (11) are glued to each other, and optionally to one or more separate blanks (44), in that the pack blank (11) is provided with individual glue portions (28, 29) by means of a valve, or a group of valves (26), and cut regions to be glued together are subsequently held or pressed together, wherein the individual glue portions (28, 29) are applied onto the cut regions by means of the glue valve (27), or the group of glue valves (26), and/or wherein a control and/or regulating device (65) automatically controls and/or regulates the size or quantity of the glue portion (28, 29) generated in each case by the at least one glue valve (27) during a single valve opening cycle as a function of at least one parameter.
