Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009136029A1] The invention relates to a method of regenerating a gas post-treatment system of an exhaust line 1 of an internal combustion engine 2 by increasing the temperature of the post-treatment system up to a regeneration temperature. During the increase in temperature, the richness of the air/fuel mixture is varied by implementing successive phases of injecting relatively rich and lean mixtures independently of the consumption or of the renewal of oxygen in the exhaust line.
