[origin: WO2009142621A1] Battery parts and methods of manufacturing parts are disclosed. A base portion includes a flange spaced apart from a second flange, and resists torsion of the base with respect to the container when at least partially embedded in a wall of the battery container. The base portion may optionally further include one or more sealing rings positioned between the flanges to prevent or inhibit leakage of fluid from the battery.
