[origin: EP2286971A2] The device (10) has a buffer table (52) arranged adjacent to a withdrawal table (44), where top side (58) of the buffer table and a top side (62) of the withdrawal table are arranged at same height. An angle ruler (54) is arranged between the withdrawal table and the buffer table. Vertical relative movement, horizontal relative movement or pivoting movement is executed between the withdrawal table and the angle ruler such that a path is released from the withdrawal table to the buffer table. The angle ruler is moved or tilted relative to the withdrawal table or the buffer table. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a plate dividing device.
