Abstract (en)

This invention provides a spectacle lens excellent in hue, and provides a spectacle lens formed from a resin composition containing (1) 100 parts by weight of a polycarbonate resin, (2) 0.05 to 0.5 part by weight of a fatty acid ester mold release agent that is at least one member selected from the group consisting of (i) an ester of a monohydric alcohol having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having 10 to 30 carbon atoms and (ii) a full ester of glycerin and a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid having 10 to 30 carbon atoms, and that has a metal potassium content of 15 ppm or less and a metal sodium content of 30 ppm or less, (3) 0.1 to 0.25 part by weight of a benzotriazole ultraviolet absorbent, (4) 0.1 to 0.3 part by weight of a hindered phenol antioxidant, and (5) 0.005 to 0.1 part by weight of a phosphorus heat stabilizer, and a process for the production thereof.
