[origin: WO2009150032A1] The invention relates to a braking device for a motor vehicle, comprising a first and a second group of brake circuits (1, 2), wherein every brake circuit is associated with a group of wheels (3, 4, 5, 6) and wherein at least the first group of brake circuits is designed as hydraulic brake circuits, at least one group of wheels (5, 6) being connected to at least one effective unit (20) that is capable of causing a deceleration of the wheels. The aim of the invention is to conveniently combine recuperative braking operations with conventional braking operations. A control device (22) controls the brake effect of the one or more brake circuits (2) of the second group as well as optionally the decelerating effect of the one or more effective units, the first group of brake circuits being actuatable directly by the driver by means of a brake actuation device.
