Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2009118198A2] The invention relates to a device for demolishing constructions, such as e.g. smokestacks, cooling towers, silos or the like, which is constituted of at least one excavator with a demolition tool, and at least one frame on which the excavator is mounted. The device is designed to be placed on the upper edge of the construction and to demolish the construction bit by bit from the top. At least three cross-members are arranged on the frame, at least one of said cross-members being adjustable lengthwise. The device is characterized in that the frame can be adapted to different diameters or dimensions of the construction in such a manner that the length-adjustable cross-member is arranged so as to be displaceable in or on the frame.
