Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009144303A1] The invention relates to a tripod joint 10 for the cardan shaft 1 of a motor vehicle, which tripod joint 10 has a tripod star 14 which forms a plurality of journals 18 with for example a round cross section. A plurality of rolling bearings 16 is supported by the journals 18 of the tripod star 14, said rolling bearings 16 being movable on said journals 18 in the direction of the respective journal axis. An outer joint 12 has a plurality of raceways which extend in the axial direction and in which in each case one rolling bearing 16 which is supported by a journal 18 is mounted so as to be movable in the longitudinal direction. The rolling bearings 16 can each still perform a tilting movement in the raceway 20. The tripod star 14 is rotationally fixed to an intermediate shaft 22 which has a first connecting piece 40 for connecting to a drive input or drive output shaft 60. Furthermore, the tulip 12 is rotationally fixed to a second connecting piece for connecting to a drive input or drive output shaft 60.
