Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2009144231A1] The subject of the present invention is an electrical connection assembly (1) comprising: a flexible ribbon cable (5) with parallel electrical tracks (7); for each track (7), a contact element (11) mechanically fastened by crimping to the ribbon cable (5) at the associated electrical track (7) thus establishing an electrical contact between the track (7) and its associated contact element (11); and a casing (13) having internal walls (15) that define a through-passage (17) through which the ribbon cable (5) passes. The assembly further includes a sliding seal (19) surrounding the ribbon cable (5), which seal is placed downstream of the contact elements (11) and upstream of the casing (13) so that, when said assembly (1) has been inserted in an associated conjugate connector (3) having conjugate contact elements (12), the casing (13) compresses the seal (11) so as to provide sealing by compression on the ribbon cable (5), sealing on the internal walls (15) of the casing (13) and sealing with the walls of the conjugate connector (3).
