[origin: EP2289369A2] The dishwasher has a fastening device (9) provided at a side of a washing container for installing the container in a niche (2). Two holding devices (HE1, HE2) comprise retaining parts (41, 42) for retaining fastening elements i.e. fastening screws (71, 72), and a distance elements (61, 62) i.e. sleeve part, is guided in the retaining elements in a movable manner. The distance elements are mounted on a niche wall (3) by the fastening elements. The container has a U-shaped cover with side walls, a covering wall and a rear wall, and made from metallic material i.e. stainless steel.
